The Writer
Jane has inherited the writing abilities of her mother, another talented writer, Eileen Bradley; and the sense of humour of her father John Lillico. A word-smith at heart, Jane is fascinated by word origins and language roots. She has written extensive instructional and promotional copy, training manuals, and creative product naming for furniture and architectural manufacturers in Alberta and British Columbia.
More recently, Baja’s Land’s End Magazine www.landsendmagazine.com has featured a column entitled Whoyuno in Cabo, researched and written by Jane, as well as utilizing her editing talents. And currently, Jane writes blog and informational copy for LuxLife Vacations www.luxlifevacations.com as well as a handful of other clients. Jane is an expert letter writer, able to tackle even the most sensitive issues in a frank and clear manner, always with her strong sense of humour intact!
On the creative side, Jane co-wrote a screenplay entitled Dawn Breaks, the true story of Dawn Herrington and her abduction, rape and hair-raising escape in 1980’s Bali.
Jane has also authored and illustrated an “edutainment” book entitled Too Bee Oar Knot Two B – What a question! ~ hosted by Willy the Wonder Worm, an introspective bookworm, who wonders and ponders the bizarre and frustrating rules of English homonyms/homophones. This book will be published later in 2016… watch for announcements when it’s hot off the press!
Four more books on the English language are still in Jane’s head, as well as numerous stories of her amazing adventures begging to be written about.
